जीवन परिचय
माननीय तिवारी जी सामाजिक कार्यों के द्वारा किसी परिचय की अभिलाषा न रखते हुए अपने साहसिक कार्य में आज 88 वर्ष की आयु में पूर्ण रूप से योगदान करने की ताकत रखते हैं जिनका एक गौरवशाली सामजिक कार्य का इतिहास रहा है शुरू-2 में लोहिया पाण्डेय का हाता बहादुरगंज में प्राचीन साधन टीन का भोंपू बनवाकर सम्पूर्ण मेले में घूम-2 कर लोगों को मिलाने का कार्य किया है।
1946 से सम्पूर्ण मोक्षदायनी माँ गंगा के पवन तट प्रयाग पर भूले भटके बच्चों, वृद्ध, महिला/पुरष समेत समाज के सारे धर्मों के लोगों की निस्वार्थ सेवा करके अपने सीमित संसाधनो का उपयोग करते हुए उनके आँखों में मुस्कान के रूप में उनके परिवार के लोगों से सम्मानित रूप से मिलवाने का कार्य करते रहे हैं।
जिस क्रम में 1946 से अब तक कुल लगभग 14 लाख महिलाओं और पुरषों तथा 21 हजार नन्हे मुन्ने बच्चों को उनके परिजनों तक अपनी व्यवस्था में पहुँचाने का कार्य किया है।
माननीय तिवारी जी ने 18 वर्ष की आयु में अपने को माँ गंगा के कार्य में समर्पित करते हुए अपने निकटतम सहयोगियों के साथ मिलकर भारत सेवा दल का गठन करने का निर्णय लिया। आज भी समयानुसार अपने अनुज पुत्र उमेश चन्द्र तिवारी को लेकर सामाजिक कार्य के लिए सड़क पर उतर कर लोगों को सेवा कार्य के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत का कार्य करते हैं ऐसे माननीय को गंगापुत्र कहने में कोई संकोच नहीं होता।
हे महामानव गंगापुत्र मेरा अभिवादन स्वीकार करो।
विश्व इतिहास के पापों को अपने चरणरज से नाश करो।

About Sri. Raja Ram Tiwari
Bharat Sewa Dal runs by Mr. Raja Ram Tiwari he is 86 years old now but continues to pursue his mission doggedly.
Tiwari has helped as many as ten lakh lost people find their family members in the confusion and clamour of such holy gatherings.
That was in 1946, he was in his teens, and he and his friends helped reunite her with her people. He’s been doing the same ever since,
and his son Umesh is gradually taking over from him.
Many a twins in the world of Hindi films may have been separated in the melee of Kumbh Mela - the largest gathering of people on the planet.

During the British era, the colonial rulers did precious little to make the experience a less daunting one for the many people at Kumbh Mela. The Maha Kumbh,
held once in 12 years, was infamous as a place where people got separated from their loved ones and eventually went missing.
In 1946, a 19-year-old took it upon himself to do something to bring an end to this infamy about the Kumbh Mela.
“It is true that people could get lost in the midst of such a huge crowd. I felt that it would be worthwhile to do something to reunite the lost people.
At least it would help the Kumbh Mela to shed the tag of a place where people got separated,” recalls Raja Ram Tiwari.
Tiwari has helped as many as ten lakh lost people find their family members in the confusion and clamour of such holy gatherings.
“Most of them were from the six Maha Kumbhs and seven Ardh Kumbh melas. Some of them were also from the annual Magh melas,” he said.
“I started with a few volunteers who joined me to form the Bharat Seva Dal, which now has nearly 150 members and is providing excellent service to
society without seeking anything in return,” he adds.
Asked about the changes he has witnessed over the years, he said, “Well, it is the sheer size of the event. Our country’s population has grown so much.
The number of people attending these melas has also continued to grow. But the logistics behind such gatherings has also changed.”
According to Tiwari, the most difficult cases are infants. “My wife has been a great support, she always helps in taking care of these kids,” he says with
obvious pride. And as he describes scenes of parents and children reuniting, his eyes turn moist. “Their happiness really touches me,” he says. Yet not all
children make it home, and Tiwari hands over such cases to the police, from where many are adopted by eager couples.
